Welcome to the Ecogia training center
Ecogia is a unique place where the ICRC, International Organizations, public and private bodies share their experience and hold training sessions, meetings and conferences.
Located in a calm and idyllic countryside setting at a 20 minutes’ drive from the city of Geneva and the airport, the center is equipped with modern and modular facilities including 20 function rooms, 42 simple but comfortable guestrooms and a restaurant serving fresh market cuisine. The small city of Versoix and lake Geneva are at 15 minutes’ walking distance from the center.
Ecogia was re-opened as a training center in 2001 and is under the auspices of the ICRC for 50 years before reverting to the municipality of Versoix.
The renovation of the building was funded by the FIPOI (Foundation for Buildings for International Organizations) through an interest-free loan by the Swiss Confederation. Various sponsors and private donors provided the funds to cover the cost of infrastructure and equipment.
Ecogia is certified with the service quality award of the Swiss Tourism Federation which underlines our wish to make your event in Ecogia successful and memorable.
